Middlesex Pre-Season Training Camp 2013

Some of the members of the Middlesex squad and support staff headed off to Desert Springs Resort in Spain on Tuesday 26 February for a short training camp to kick start their pre-season training. Ex-Middlesex Wicketkeeper and current Fielding Coach, Ben Scott is taking some photos of the lads in training over the next few days, so we’re able to see what they’re getting up to…enjoy!

Day 4…Friday 1 March

The lads worked hard this week in Spain, so hard in fact that Adam London couldn’t keep his eyes open on the plane journey home…..bless him!

Day 3…Thursday 28 February

An action packed Day 3 out in Spain, and the boys managed to fit in a bit of golf, a nice relaxing (!) bike ride and some sofa sprints…

...Ravi, who claims he can't ride a bike so was instead made to do sprints...looks tired hey!?

Day 2…Wednesday 27 February

First fielding session on their mild/cold weather training camp gets the hands nice and warm for outdoor catching!

Day 1…Tuesday 26 February

An early morning flight from Gatwick airport, saw the lads arrive at the Resort to beautiful blue skies…

All settled in, and it was off to get ready for the ultimate football match…the Oldies v the Youngsters…

The ‘Oldies’ came out on top due to what can only be described as an electric performance from Joe Denly and Tim Murtagh and despite what can only be described as a slightly ‘special’ performance from Angus Fraser!

There were some thinking that Gurjit Sandhu, Adam London and Ravi Patel may have got stuck at the airport because they definitely didn’t really see them on the pitch…well that’s one insider’s thoughts anyway!
